Moving on Up Event (Get £20!...)

Dear Partners of Brent,

Do you know any young people that can share insight on how to engage more young black men into employment, education or training?
||
Join Brent Council to take part in our event ‘Moving On Up’ on 27th March 2019 at the Brent Civic Centre! The first 50 young people to arrive will receive a £20 London Designer Outlet voucher!
||
The Moving On Up project is aimed to encourage more young black men into employment, education and/or training in both the private and public sector and we are keen to engage young individuals for this event.

The event gives organisations and young individuals a great opportunity to share their views, develop better networks and improve engagement to tackle barriers to recruitment and progression.

Click on the link below for tickets;

On the day we will have guest speakers and hold a variety of workshops to discuss how we can overcome the barriers faced by this community group. Please note: lunch will be provided.

We would like to improve employment outcomes for young black men so we have developed three priority areas that we will focus on:

1.     Developing pre-employment pathways for young black men into good quality jobs.
2.     Role models and mentors.
3.     Increasing engagement with key employers

Please let us know if you have any promotional packs that you would like to be shared on the day.
